GAME ON! - Hunting Park Baseball Field Dedication Scheduled for Friday, April 13th

After two years in the making, ten months after breaking ground, and six weeks of recrod-breaking rainfall this summer, we are excited to announce that on Friday, April 13th the Fairmount Park Conservancy will be dedicating the Hunting Park Baseball Field. Join us as we celebrate this milestone project as part of the Hunting Park Revitalization Project.

5th Annual Centennial Celebration on Thursday, April 26th at 6pm at The Horticulture Center

Save the date! This year the Fairmount Park Conservancy will be honoring the Vanguard Crew for their corporate stewardship, Joseph Manko, Sr., Esquire for his civic leadership, and Ryan Howard for being a park champion at the 5th Annual Centennial Celebration. Daniel K. Fitzpatrick and Constance H. Williams are the Event Co-Chairs, and the Honorable Michael A. Nutter and First Lady Lisa Nutter are the Honorary Event Co-Chairs. The 5th Annual Centennial Celebration is slated for Thursday, April 26th at 6:00 p.m. at The Horticulture Center in West Fairmount Park, Centennial District. For event sponsorship opportunities, please call 215-988-9334.

LOVE Your Park, Spring Edition - Saturday, May 12th

LOVE Your Park is the biannual volunteer park clean-up day in Philadelphia with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and PHS. This spring it will be held on Saturday, May 12th. Last spring 94 neighborhood parks participated, 2,350 volunteers came out to clean and green, totalling 7,050 hours of volunteer work. Approximately 2,433 bags of trash and 301 bags of recycling were collected, 31 tons of trash and debris removed, 29 trees planted, 8,634 flowers planted, and 173 graffiti sites abated. Help us make this year's LOVE Your Park Day an even bigger success!
